造り物の特徴は、既存の物や物語を見立てた造形であることと、期間が終われば元に戻せるよう、過剰な加工を施さないこと。
伝播ルートは明らかになっていないそうですが、大阪・天神祭が発祥とも言われているそうです。
ペフが拠点する老松通りにある蕎麦屋「衣笠」の店主は、天神祭の際に造り物を飾り続けている唯一の人物です。
この展覧会では、造り物という文化と、その文化を絶やさず守る彼の想いを紹介します。
There is a culture where house owners and shop owners make an object resembling a story or a scene of a play using utensils like kitchenware for festivals and annual events.
The objects are called "Tsukuri-mono," which characterized with these facts
-based on existing stuffs or stories
-as these are made out of utensils, made very simply so that they can use them again after the festivals or the
events
Its origin has not traced yet though some says Tenjin Festival in Osaka is the origin.
The owner of Soba restaurant Kinugasa, which is located on the Oimatsu street where Pehu is also at, is the only
person keeps making Tsukurimono during Tenjin Festival.
In this exhibition, we introduce Tsukurimono culture and his hopes for keeping this culture.
